イエスがおしかりになると、悪霊はその子から出て行った。そして子はその時いやされた。それから、弟子たちがひそかにイエスのもとにきて言った、「わたしたちは、どうして霊を追い出せなかったのですか」。するとイエスは言われた、「あなたがたの信仰が足りないからである。よく言い聞かせておくが、もし、からし種一粒ほどの信仰があるなら、この山にむかって『ここからあそこに移れ』と言えば、移るであろう。このように、あなたがたにできない事は、何もないであろう。〔しかし、このたぐいは、祈と断食とによらなければ、追い出すことはできない〕」。(マタイ17：18)
イエス様は、病であれ、家族の問題であれ、私たちの目の前に立ちはだかる山のように大きい深刻な問題を動かすための武器として、御言葉に固く立って大胆に宣言する信仰と、断食を伴うような真剣な祈りを教えられました。この二つの武器を用いて、「教会のリバイバルと世界宣教」の使命の成就、またそれぞれが直面している山のような問題を根っこから動かして海に移して頂き、主の完全な勝利をこの目で拝させて頂こうではありませんか。

And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
